Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:MOA or Hospital Unit Clerk Certificate with medical terminology required & 3-5 years' experience in outpatient setting. Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, internet, Database Management required. Experience with office equipment such as fax, photocopies, multi-line telephones required. Accurate keyboarding rate of 50 words/minute minimum required. Strong and proven attention to detail retaining and processing information within our multiple clinics. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required with ability to prioritize competing demands. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with tight timelines and with attention to detail. Ability to lift approximately 10 lbs. and sit or stand for long periods of times as well as long periods of time working at a computer. Demonstrated proficiency with Connect Care with experience in booking outpatient appointments for multiple clinics. Strong work ethic with demonstrated initiative. Excellent English verbal and written skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:Proven flexibility with demonstrated ability to work and problem solve independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively under pressure and ability to manage frequent interruptions.
