Required Qualifications:

Minimum bachelor level degree in Health Care. A strong clinical background in one of the following: Emergency, Obstetrical Program, Surgical Program, and/or Acute Medicine. Ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources within an operating environment.. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stake holders. Ability to develop collaborative relationships within a diverse inter-professional team. Demonstrated ability and comfort level with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated initiative in leadership via courses, conferences, or certificates. Previous formal leadership role in a health care setting. Ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources within an operating environment including unionized employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

Leadership experience in Emergency, Obstetrical Program, Surgical Program, and Acute Medicine. 2 years’ supervisory experience. Experience & education with Alberta Improvement Way (AIW) process improvement methodologies, LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies or equivalent. Experience with change management methodologies. MS Office suite & Connect Care. Experience with having constructive & performance conversations. AHS performance appraisal process with unionized employees.
