Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Unit Clerk course. 3-5 years' experience working in the Acute Care/Emergency setting. Connect Care Access with the ability to schedule appointments, assist with Connect Care in finding results, ie labs, immunizations, Diagnostic results, Scan documents, assist with booking transfers for patients. Aware of the Medication Reconciliation Process. Maintain a professional disposition while at work, ability to deal with the public is a calm professional manner. Manage the phone and take phone messages and paging when required. Order supplies, forms, documents, when required. Be responsible accountable, ability to work with in a team environment and take direction when needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Any other duties as assigned. Assist with staff scheduling, replacing of sick calls, making call to fill shifts. Timecard access. Assisting on the units where required.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care Rural Unit Clerk and Outpatient training.
