Your Opportunity:

This is a Team Lead position that reports directly to the Manager, Medical Leadership & Innovation. This is a supervisory role and is responsible for hiring, orientating, scheduling, coaching, building effective relationships and performance management of a large group of senior administrative staff who support Medical Leaders in various locations, in a unionized environment. The role collaborates with the other Team Lead staff as well as the Manager for team planning, determining administrative resource allocation, strategic communication and other elements of work. This role will contribute to setting best practices and foster a collaborative work environment to achieve goals. This role is responsible for developing team and individual work plans, approving vacation requests and vacation management, time sheet approvals, holding one to one meeting with staff, performance management and coaching, relaying important organizational initiatives and team priorities, liaison work with the Medical Leaders, and general administrative guidance. The role works very closely with the Manager and Medical Leaders whom the administrative staff are assigned to support. This requires a high level of professionalism, communication skills both verbal and written, active listening, problem solving skills and decision making focused on the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience directly supervising staff. The candidate must have experience in developing team and individual work plans. Undergraduate degree & or Management/Leadership certificate preferred. Experience working directly with physicians and collaborating with Medical Leadership stakeholders is an asset. The successful candidate will be able to effectively demonstrate competency with 4 Emotional Intelligence Skills: Self-Awareness Self-Management Social Awareness & Relationship Management
