Your Opportunity:

The Supervisor, Linen and Environmental Services, Operations North performs a leadership role in the Linen and Environmental Services Operations and Clinical Support Services Portfolio and reports directly to the Manager. Linen and Environmental Services, Operations North. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and support over the activities of both the Linen and Environmental Services daily operations, North. Supports of the vision. mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Linen and Environmental Services. Operations North. The Supervisor. Linen and Environmental Services, Operations North will develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees and key stakeholders to each department.

Description:

The Supervisor, Linen and Environmental Services. Operations north are responsible for but no limited to: Ensure the continuity of each of the operations which involves engagement and communication with each department as needed. Informs and communicates with manager with any and all issues and changes to each department as they arise. Ensures all incidents in My Safety Net are address and complete. Assist with strategic planning to recognize and achieve department efficiencies. Assists with equipment planning and purchases. Completes site/department reporting. spreadsheets. memos. etc. as required. Gathers pertinent information required by the department heads and communicates as required. Site implementation of the operational changes to programs and practices. Communicates staffing levels and has input into staffing strategies with manager Conducts HR investigations and outcomes. Engages staff and completes annual Performances Conversations. Ensures that each department adheres to standards. efficiencies, policies. and program-based targets — including audits. Completion of department-based reporting. etc. Attends meetings that impact Linen and Environmental Services.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of Grade 12 supplemented by leadership, management and/or supervisory educational courses. A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role ideally in an organization of significant size. complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Health Care experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and knowledge with Environmental Services/Housekeeping as well as industrial laundry experience.
