Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree, major in healthcare administration, human resources, business, social services or related field is required. A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (senior level administration) within the health care sector leading unionized staff.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Superior verbal and written communication skills to address conflicts and patient escalations, prepare and present training, reports and recommendations to staff and multidisciplinary audiences. Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, facilitation, and team building skills. Experience in hiring and supervising staff. Previous project management experience in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite. Proven ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, handles interruptions, changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze, implement and problem solve independently as well as work in the context of a team and patient centred environment. Exceptional organizational skills. High level of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision. Proven ability to problem-solve and provide thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of complex problems and approach challenges proactively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Human Resources management certification is an asset. Change management certification is an asset. Previous leadership in resolving issues related sensitive and confidential information or privacy and the Health Information Act. Previous experience with managing customer-facing contact centre processes and procedures. Previous experience in implementing and leading change management processes.
