Description:

The Lead for Site Initiatives works in close partnership with all programs on the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) site and reports to the RAH Site Executive Director (ED). Position works with a high degree of independence and needs to be able to recognize situations requiring involvement and/or approval from site leadership or other programs. Equipment planning Lead for all clinical departments/programs at RAH for enquiries and acquisition of capital/minor equipment. Includes collaborating with programs to identify needs, completing documentation, and facilitating the purchasing processes. May be asked to be the site representative and participate in zone level committees/initiatives. Emergency Disaster Management (EDM)–Chairs a site committee to collaborate with all programs on the RAH campus to ensure teams are prepared to respond to any EDM incidents on site. Takes the lead for site-wide exercises, in collaboration with EDM, to ensure all healthcare workers practice responding to situations. Collaborates with FM&E/WHS to identify and resolve any deficits on site. Liaising on projects–Collaborate with Capital Management and all involved stakeholders on construction or renovation projects at RAH. Facilitate communication, collaboration, and decision making to ensure the needs of both project team and operational program are known. Participate in ongoing commissioning/decommissioning of space on site. Develop and execute project plans for site-wide projects at the direction of the Site ED. Space planning–Collaborate with all program areas, FM&E, and Space Planning to coordinate any administrative/clinical program moves-development of move plans (i.e., identifying any move activities, stakeholders impacted by the move, risk identification and mitigation) and supporting execution of the move.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or other relevant post-secondary education plus 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Project management experience. Knowledge of site and program reporting structures and accountabilities. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Comfortable making decisions as well as ability to recognize which decisions need higher level input. Strong understanding of both CPSM and project management processes within AHS. Knowledgeable in Emergency Disaster Management codes and plans.
