Senior Project Manager
Your Opportunity:
AHS Pharmacy Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager, to join our Pharmacy Services Project Management Office. As a Senior PM, this role will be accountable for leading the delivery and implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS), part of our Pharmacy Connect program. Pharmacy Connect is an exciting initiative that will transform Pharmacy Services through the implementation of a centralized distribution model for Central and North Zones. Reporting to the Director of Projects, and in accordance with AHS directives and generally accepted project management methodologies, the Senior Project Manager will need to intake multiple sources of clinical, academic, and technical information and through the guidance of the vendor and pharmacy professionals integrate the information into a solid project management plan. This seasoned and experienced PM will provide oversight during the execution and control phases of a highly complex project, to ensure all deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
Description:
As a Senior Project Manager you will play a key role in leading the inception, planning, implementation and closure for a wide variety of projects within Pharmacy Services. As an organized self-starter you will apply your critical thinking skills to solve problems. You are a strong communicator that is ready to work with individuals at all levels of the organization. The projects you will manage range from regional projects to ones that are provincial in nature. These may be capital projects or ones in support of targeted operational initiatives that are always focused on delivering value to the Pharmacy Services portfolio. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to work independently to deliver your assigned project(s) that may have varying degrees of interdependencies with other projects or within a greater program.

Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered. 7 or more years of experience as a project manager, working in a large and complex project delivery environment, leading virtual cross functional teams. Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, PMO tools and project governance concepts. Experience leading medium to large sized project teams in a matrixed organization. Experience in leading software implementations.
Additional Required Qualifications:Has strong working knowledge of the MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, Excel and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a large and complex health care setting. Demonstrates a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Preference will be given to candidates that have a PMP. Experience working in Azure DevOps.
