Senior Advisor
Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Program Manager, Accreditation, the Senior Advisor – Accreditation, provides provincial leadership, consultation, and strategic expertise to support the achievement and sustainability of accreditation across the organization. The role leads and consults the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of accreditation-related strategies, initiatives, and frameworks while fostering collaborative partnerships across clinical, operational, and corporate teams.
Description:
Acting as a subject matter expert in Accreditation Canada readiness, quality improvement, project management, and change management, the Senior Advisor – Accreditation, supports operational and business units by facilitating and consulting accreditation readiness into organizational processes. The role works with a high degree of autonomy to guide strategic direction, influence organizational readiness, monitor performance, and ensure alignment with accreditation standards, quality improvement goals, and organizational priorities. Provincial in scope, the position leads and supports committees, working groups, and projects, develops information and evaluation resources, consults on the development of education material and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to advance a culture of continuous quality improvement and accreditation excellence across the healthcare system. Clinical experience and knowledge and experience working within Emergency Health Service industry is considered an asset; however, equivalent experience in quality improvement, accreditation, healthcare operations, or organizational performance will also be considered.

Minimum 5-10 years of progressive and varied roles in leadership experience in EMS, healthcare, business, education or a related environment. This position is provincial in scope and works collaboratively across clinical, operational and corporate teams. This position requires the ability to lead and influence, demonstrate sound judgements and diplomacy or in collaboration with others amid shifting and often competing priorities, interests, and potential outcomes. This role requires the ability to manage change, projects, logistics and planning and create innovative solutions and recommendations for complex and diverse organizational issues and risk mitigation. Has a minimum of an undergraduate degree in health care, science, management, business, education, leadership and/or research field or other equivalent. Equivalencies of education and experience will be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in evaluation, data analysis, project and change management is required. Registration as paramedic or other healthcare profession or equivalent for the individual’s profession is considered an asset. Evidence of ongoing educational preparation in planning, policy development, and project management preferred. Education or certification in quality improvement methodologies, change management, project management and/or management is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of EHS-Alberta, healthcare operations, and clinical practice is an asset. Clinical experience in a healthcare field. Expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation standards, and continuous improvement methodologies is valued. Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, data management, statistical analysis, visualization, and evidence-informed decision-making.
