Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Three years of recent acute care urology nursing experience (obtained within the last 5 years) is required. Demonstration of assessment, critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational and patient care skills is required. Self-direction, adaptability and flexibility are required while working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted work environment. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required including public speaking and teaching abilities. This position requires excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook e-mail and Calendar. Physical requirements include lifting, pushing and pulling. Extended periods of sitting, standing and walking is required.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate level degree in nursing preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Participation in Quality and Process Improvement activities is preferred. HealthQuest, eCLINICIAN and Netcare training and experience a definite asset. Previous triage experience would be valuable for this position.
