Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:CRNA registration required and maintained throughout duration of employment. CPR - HCP level required (Heart and Stroke Foundation). Recent Pacemaker Clinic Experience required (within last 2 years). A minimum of two years recent (within 3 years) Cardiology Inpatient and/or ICU/CICU experience required. Physical demands required of the job include standing for extended periods of time while wearing lead, pushing/pulling/transporting more than 75 lbs. on a regular basis, repetitive motions such as typing and phone usage, and lifting/bending/reaching. Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and priority setting skills required. Preferred Qualifications:Outpatient Connect Care familiarity an asset. Perioperative experience an asset. Basic computer skills are preferred. Demonstrated reliability preferred. Strong understanding of adult teaching principles preferred. Able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
