Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Administration Certificate (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). At least one year recent (within the last year) acute care nursing experience as an RN or LPN. Current ACLS certification (from Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation). Ability to work in a stressful, rapid paced, dynamic environment required. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required. Ability to work independently and interdependently. Demonstrated strength in developing collaborative, effective working relationships with clients of cultural diversity and socio-economic diversity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current experience (within last six months and of at least one year duration) working in the ED or Urgent Care setting. Current triage experience in an Urgent Care or ED setting. Current experience working in the charge nurse role in an Urgent Care or ED setting. Recent NVCI training. Proficiency working with Connect Care (EPIC).
