Public Health Inspector III - Coordinator
Your Opportunity:
The Public Health Inspector III will act as a program coordinator for one of the four Calgary Zone teams with the specific program to be determined. As a Public Health Inspector III and appointed Executive Officer under the authority of the Public Health Act, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive environmental public health program. As a Public Health Inspector III, you will have advanced professional and technical expertise with professional standing in environmental public health, public health epidemiology, engineering, scientific research or electronic information systems. As a PHI III, you will be in a leadership role, in charge of the day-to-day operations of a major environmental public health program. The PHI III may provide a provincial leadership role in the development of program planning, and/or lead or coordinate the response for complex file in the core topics areas.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or in a related field of study plus a recognized Environmental Health technical program. Completion of certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada). Active Member in Good Standing with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).
Additional Required Qualifications:Five years’ experience working in an Enviromental Public Health Program with bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience with a master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of master’s degree in environmental public health or related field.
