Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 recent years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist / Speech Language Pathologist in an adult inpatient acute care setting; Proven communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other health care team members, patients, and their families; Demonstrated ability in leading teams, coaching, mentoring and teaching, and the ability to facilitate practice growth in others; working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:Leadership development and related education; Knowledge of community resources, equipment acquisition, continuum of care, and discharge planning; Experience working with complex medical patient populations and the marginalized population with a good understanding of inner-city clients and resources; Experience with end of life, chronic disease management, and dementia care; Knowledge and ability to use Connect Care.
