Reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Director – Edmonton Rural Corridor-East, the Site Manager is responsible for strategic and operational leadership for the Westlock Healthcare Centre. The portfolio for this position includes operational leadership for Acute Care Emergency Department, Operating Room and Medical Device Reprocessing. The Site Manager would also be joining an extremely supportive, innovative and fun group of leaders within the Edmonton Rural Corridor. We are looking for an experienced, accountable and compassionate leader who is both patient and staff focused, with a commitment to providing quality services. Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Three (3) years of direct operational management experience in health care environments within the last 10 years. Proven ability to manage a complex department with multiple goals and competing interests. Requires understanding of the inter-dependencies within the corridor and broader health care system.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Effective communicator with proven ability to network and collaborate with multiple stakeholders. Successful candidate will also have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize as challenges arise. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within the team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals. Leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to manage human, financial and physical resources within an operating environment. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and to achieve organizational short and long term plans and projects and deliver customer focused results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a rural healthcare facility an asset but not required. Experience working in Acute Care, Emergency or Operating Room also an asset but not required.
