Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:FMC PCU 61 Thoracic Surgery and Pulmonary experience. Minimum 6 months experience (recent within last 1 year) of acute medical/surgical inpatient nursing experience. Demonstrated accountability, critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated strength in critical thinking. Ability to start IV's. Demonstrated ability to work as a team. Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:Effective communication (written and verbal). Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads. Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team. Knowledge and experience with the following programs: Connect Care. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the values of AHS - compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and safety. Demonstrate ability to manage change.
