Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working as an LPN in a hospital setting is required. Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills. Proven initiative, analytical thinking, and conflict resolution skills Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a healthcare team environment Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates ability to work as a member of a team and to give, request and accept direction as required. Intermediate computer skills including the use of Connect Care is a job requirement. Ability to perform all duties in accordance with related legislation. Physically able to perform all assigned tasks: lifting, pulling, walking and or sitting for long periods etc.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent experience in rehabilitation nursing, neurosciences nursing or acute medicine/surgery preferred. Demonstrated continuing education in neurosciences is preferred.
