Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong computer skills. Experience with in-service and program development, implementation and evaluation. Experience developing education materials for both staff and patients. Experience as CNE. Minimum 5 years Orthopedics experience. Reliability and dependability demonstrated from previous work experience. Candidates must be highly motivated and self-directed. Knowledge and understanding of the collaborative care model. Teamwork and leadership skills must be demonstrated through work history. Previous Leadership experience in implementing change. Quality improvement education/training. Change Management education/training. Required walking up to a total of 2 hours per day, standing up to 3 hours per day, lifting > 10 lbs. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Strong communication skills. Proficiency in formal writing. Skills in data collection, analysis, and presentation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Nursing.
