Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager of Audiology, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Transcription, this Audiologist II position offers a dynamic leadership opportunity at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. You will guide a dedicated team of audiologists while maintaining direct patient care responsibilities. Your role will encompass clinical mentorship, service delivery oversight, schedule coordination, referral triage, equipment management, and student supervision. You’ll contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of audiology programs, ensuring alignment with Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards, legislative requirements, and professional guidelines. As a clinical leader, you’ll provide expert input into day-to-day operations and strategic planning, fostering excellence in patient outcomes and team development. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Zone and Provincial initiatives, helping shape the future of audiology services across Alberta.
Description:
As an Audiologist II, you will be responsible for advancing front line Audiology clinical practice, ensuring it is consistent with current professional practice evidence. You will lead staff in providing safe, quality services with delivery based on population needs, and program parameters and in adhering to Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards, guidelines, policies and procedures. You will also assist with coordinating daily operations by collaborating with stakeholders and supporting the supervision of students and other healthcare practitioners. You will participate in program development, implementation and evaluation as well as provide leadership on department, program and service committees.

Master's degree in Audiology. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Physically able to complete the demands of the role, including but not limited to kneeling, sitting on the ground, bending and reaching as well as carrying equipment. Proficiency with various computer applications including Word, Outlook, Excel. Must demonstrate a strong patient/family centered approach to care. Demonstrated trajectory of continuous self-improvement related to leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in the use of Connect Care for patient reporting and scheduling. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams. ABR (Auditory Brain Response) testing experience. Experience with Videonystagmography (VNG) testing. Working knowledge and training in change management, quality improvement, and clinical implementation of evidence-based practices.
