Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working with vulnerable populations. Previous clinical leadership experience. Must have excellent assessment, critical thinking, organization, and client/patient care skills. Must be self-directed and can work independently and uses sound professional judgment. Must be able to communicate findings in a concise and accurate manner. Must have exceptional computer skills, including and not limited to – Connect Care, Workforce ESP, Outlook, Excel Spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Netcare, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Must be able to work both independently, and within a team. Must have the ability to maintain a positive and healthy work environment, following the AHS code of conduct policy to manage conflict. Must be able to guide and teach youth, families, and coworkers how to have supportive, therapeutic conversations. Attention to detail in the application, including a cover letter stating the reasons this position has been chosen to apply for.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous proven nursing leadership, with 2 years’ experience, in a youth and adolescent mental health setting will be given preference and is strongly preferred. Experience with the Staffing Liaison model in ESP is preferred. Trauma Informed Care modules, The Leaders Guide to Emotional Intelligence, Art of Accountability and The Brain Story Certification are all preferred.
