Administrative Support IV - Referral
Your Opportunity:
The Referral Administrative Support IV collaborates and participates in the provision of primary health care services to patients and their families, in the Department of Emergency Medicine. The key responsibilities of the role entail reviewing, filing and managing of confidential electronic patient information and reports. The requirements of the role include coordination of the referral service and system for the physicians, multidisciplinary team and patients. Collection of data and reporting, as required.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Advanced training in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional training in position related software: Connect Care, Rightfax and other related clinical system applications. Proven ability to manage patient records with confidentiality, accuracy and in a timely manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to critically think with demonstrated ability in problem solving complex issues. Able to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment. Medical terminology certificate/course required. Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare setting is required. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Familiar with FOIP and the Health Information Act.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum diploma in Business or Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk or Health Information Certificate or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience working with electronic medical records - Connect Care experience preferred.
