Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
This role provides advanced administrative support to multiple physicians and academic leaders within the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM), with a primary focus on clinical scheduling, medical education coordination, research administration, and financial processing. Supports the AMHSP physicians and education program leads in ensuring smooth delivery of academic and clinical operations. Coordinates high-volume communication, manages confidential medical documentation, liaises with internal/external stakeholders, and assists in planning large-scale departmental events. Operates with a high degree of independence and discretion in a fast-paced clinical-academic environment. The position provides clinical administrative support to clinical services provided by the physicians and the related administrative processes and practices of medical practice within a regional acute care setting. The incumbent must demonstrate a complete understanding of the education program and its curriculum and must have the ability to act independently and exercise independent judgment in the execution of confidential duties.

Additional Required Qualifications:Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Able to critically think with demonstrated ability in problem solving complex issues. Able to work independently in a fast-paced changing environment. Able to work under pressure to manage competing and changing priorities, with consistent attention to detail and within tight deadlines. Self-directed and able to work under minimal supervision. Must be flexible in order to accommodate changing workload demands. Proven ability to manage information with confidentiality, accuracy and in a timely manner. Awareness of public and corporate image, directives and goals.
Preferred Qualifications:Some post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk or Health Information Certificate or equivalent combination of experience and education. Advanced training in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional training in position related apps within AHS and University of Calgary. Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare setting is required.
