Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields.
Additional Required Qualifications:Grade 12 minimum supplemented with a certificate from a recognized office administration program or equivalent experience. Medical Terminology is required. Previous Operating Room Unit Clerk, Operating Room Booking experience or acute surgical unit experience is required. Must possess demonstrated competencies in MS Office Suite. Typing speed of 60 WPM required. Accuracy and attention to detail essential. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with proven strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with others. Must demonstrate proven organizational skills. Must have proven ability to work independently and possess excellent time management skills. Must possess strong process analysis, problem solving and decision making skills with attention to detail. Able to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, distractions and competing demands. Must demonstrate ability to adapt and manage changes and create innovative solutions to complex and diverse issues.
