Administrative Support IV
Your Opportunity:
Working under the general direction of the Unit Manager for Cardiac Diagnostics, the Admin IV supports the operations of the various cardiac diagnostic areas. will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit - processing patient referrals, order entry, bookings, phone confirmations, scheduling and other clerical duties. The incumbent will be required to maintain all records associated with appointment scheduling and booking. Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 1-year recent experience in a hospital environment in a clerical/administrative role is required. Clerical experience in an acute, fast-paced, time sensitive healthcare environment. Experience in a hospital ambulatory care environment is required. Working knowledge of Connect Care platforms including knowledge of Connect Care- Cupid registration and appointment scheduling. Proficiency with RightFax and Netcare.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with the following IT systems is preferred: APPROACH, MUSE, ISCV, Experience with other ambulatory clinics is preferred Experience in a Cardiology department is preferred Proficient in using a computer, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
