Additional Required Qualifications:At least 5 years of administrative experience within a medical setting, similar in size and scope to the Department of Surgery. Experience working for more than one office/physician at a time. At least 5 years’ experience in patient booking, referral, and waitlist management, as well as scheduling. At least 5 years of experience in OR booking and experience working with oncology patients. Excellent working knowledge of NetCare and Connect Care. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Calendar & Email). Effective communication techniques, including correct use of business English, spelling, grammar, and proofreading. Ability to maintain a professional image and manage stressful situations with empathy, remaining calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful at all times. Critical thinker with effective time management skills. Flexible and attentive to detail. Strong commitment to patient satisfaction and quality health services. Understanding of organizational policies, laws, regulations, ethics, conflict management, and resolution in a healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to foster and promote teamwork, collaboration, and partnership to manage and resolve complex and confidential situations.
