Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity within Transplant Services at the University of Alberta Hospital. The Administrative Support III has an important role, working in Connect Care to maintain patient records that are used by the Living Donor Transplant Team and wider healthcare team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for a wide variety of clerical medical record and data management functions. Responsibilities include creating electronic patient records, entering diagnostic results, correspondences, consultations and other results into Connect Care and other databases. Ability to be flexible, prioritize different tasks and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include successfully completing projects under tight timelines and with frequent interruptions.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Medical terminology and experience within a medical/hospital setting is required. Post secondary education (i.e. University) is required. Strong proofreading and typing skills are required. Connect Care and NetCare experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a rapidly changing environment and be an effective team player is essential. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to cope in stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications:Computer training in Word and Excel is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and or/experience may be required. Experience working in an organ transplant program is preferred. Minimum of 1 year database entry and 1 year of recent continuous clerical experience in a health care setting is preferred.
