Administrative Support III
Your Opportunity:
As an integral team member of the Pediatric Home Nutrition Support Program, this position is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the clinical team to support excellence in patient and family centered care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Data entry/tracking of supplies and pumps for clients of PHNSP. Obtaining and maintaining clinical supplies through direct purchase or stores. Maintaining clinic databases. First line of contact for patients and families and other hospital/outside agencies. Appointment booking and scheduling in Connect Care. Monitoring and managing complex clinic schedules. Provides general office support including, payroll entry, supply ordering, and filing.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-secondary education is required (Office Administration or equivalent). Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hospital environment as an Admin III is required. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in an ambulatory setting is required. Pediatric and Adult experience with knowledge of family centered care is required. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Connect Care. Detail oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to think critically, anticipate and problem solve are required. Excellent telephone etiquette with a pleasant and calm demeanor is required. Accurate data entry skills are required. Proficient in the English language, both written and oral is required. Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic team environment, including working under pressure, adapting and responding to changing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to push/pull/ lift more than 50 lbs. and work in awkward positions. Must be able to work directly with the public.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with e-People timekeeping entry is preferred. Understanding of UNA, AUPE, and HSAA Collective agreements as they pertain to the scheduling and payroll is an asset. Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation. Effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to listen and interpret verbal communication. Demonstrates professionalism, diplomacy, discretion and maintains confidentiality.
