Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrates a continuous desire for continued education while achieving self-awareness. Demonstrates excellent problem solving, decision making and troubleshooting skills. Must be approachable and reliable. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships, facilitate teamwork, resolve conflict and manage change and resources. This position requires 0.2 FTE working in Transfusion Medicine, Chemistry and Hematology. Combined Laboratory Xray Technologist applicants require an Advanced Practice Authorization in Transfusion Medicine Techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:Core Lab and Transfusion Medicine experience within the last five years. Experience operating the following analyzers: Vitros XT3400, ACL Elite Pro, Sysmex XN550, Clinitek Advantus, Beckman Coulter Access II and experience with ID-MTS gel system for Transfusion Medicine are preferred.
