Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:The applicant must have completed training in an approved school for Medical Laboratory Technology and be currently registered or eligible to be registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA). Computer entry, processing, and testing of diagnostic specimens. Excellent computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. Excellent technical, analytical, and problem solving skills are required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients and other health care providers required. Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting is required. Proven organizational, time management, and sound decision making skills. Reliable, dependable, and history of good attendance is required. Actively promotes and participates in Alberta Precision Laboratories Code of Conduct and Values of Kindness, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, and Accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Recent experience in Histology preferred. Preference given to candidate with strong anatomy knowledge. Preference given to candidate with experience in Immunohistochemistry testing.
