In this fast-paced role, you help clinicians and patients get the information they need to get a correct diagnosis, and restore, maintain, or optimize health. You'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of routine and specialized tests, including daily processing, testing, resulting, and reporting of diagnostic samples, along with preparing a variety of blood products for transfusion. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Works well in a team environment. Able to multi-task and prioritize work as needed. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with Beaker and Wellsky LIS. Previous experience in a Hematology and/or Transfusion Medicine laboratory of medium size and complexity or larger is considered an asset.
