In this role, you help clinicians and patients get the information they need to get a correct diagnosis, and restore, maintain, or optimize health. You'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of routine and specialized tests, including daily processing, testing, resulting, and reporting of diagnostic samples. Description:

As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a team environment with excellent communication and interpersonal skills exhibiting APL values.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent chemistry laboratory experience (within the last 2-3 years) in a regional hospital sized testing facility or larger. Experience with Epic Beaker and BioRad Unity software. Knowledge and experience with the Roche Cobas Pros/Infinity middleware, Osmometry and Iris Urinalysis analyzer.
