Description:
As a Laboratory Assistant II, you will perform advanced preanalytical or analytical techniques on specimen/samples or coordinate, prioritize, monitor, and assign duties of laboratory staff in your assigned area. You will resolve escalated issues, conduct quality control investigations and maintain technical and operational procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring laboratory staff maintain compliance with policies and procedures and will provide coaching and feedback to staff and students.

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in DSC Microbiology within APL in the last 5 years. Experience as an MLA II in DSC Microbiology within APL in the last 12 months. Experience and knowledge of Process Excellence, including 5S implementations, Lean 6 Sigma and AIW.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with quality improvement and customer service. Experience with CPSA accreditation standards, implementation and addressing deficiencies. Completion of leadership courses, including teambuilding and conflict resolution. Minimum 1 year experience in DSC Microbiology with problem resolution bench.
