Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrates excellent reliability, accuracy, productivity and quality of work in adherence to policies, procedures and performance standards. Recent experience and competency in phlebotomy techniques within the last year. Recent and relevant experience in a hospital setting within the last 3 years.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with EPIC or hospital information systems. WHMIS, TDG certificate. Experience with pediatric and neonatal venipuncture and/or skin puncture within the last year. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs. Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills. Courses or certificates in personal leadership development. Courses or training in process improvement or change management.
