Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Assistant or equivalent within the last two years in a healthcare setting. Computer literacy and keyboarding skills are required. preparation of basic reagents, controls, buffers and solutions for analysis. Perform temperature checks, centrifuge/fumehood cleanup, sample aliquoting and organizing fridges/freezers. Hands-on knowledge of aliquoting, filtering and knowledge of maintaining small lab equipment such as analytical balances, pipettes, centrifuges, and pH meters. Knowledge of troubleshooting printers and photocopiers. Experience in monitoring inventory of supplies and inventory management. The successful candidate must be well organized, flexible and able to prioritize and work under pressure. Must possess the ability to promote positive working relationships.
