Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Current experience in Biochemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, DI, ECG’s is required. Required to take call and live within 30 minutes of the facility when on call. (On Call room available). Proven interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills are required. Excellent public relations and a service-oriented manner are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with patients/clients, families, staff, inter-disciplinary team members and personnel from other departments in a fast-paced, and changing environment. Proven analytic and problem solving skills, attention to detail, logical/methodical work habits, and demonstrated ability to work independently are required. Candidate must be well organized and flexible.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience operating and troubleshooting in the past 2 years: Experience in a healthcare setting. Current phlebotomy experience. Diagnostic Imaging- Kodak 850 CR Reader, Shimadzu X-ray unit and Shimadzu Portable for mobile x-ray. ECG-Mac 5500. Lab- Vitros 250, ACL Elite Pro, Beckman DXH, Clinitek Status or Advantus, I-Stat, and Triage MeterPro. Computer-Muse, Agfa PACS, and Meditech LIS. Site will be on Connect Care LIS in Launch 6 May 6, 2023.
