Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Unit Clerk certificate or equivalent. Recent Unit Clerk experience in a hospital setting, with critical care or acute care setting preferred. Ability to work in a high acuity patient care area. Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions. Well-developed organizational skills, with ability to prioritize work. Demonstrated initiative and independence in fulfilling duties. In addition, the incumbent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Strong computer skills in the following applications: all Microsoft Office applications, Connect Care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on Patient and Family Centered Care. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and organize. Preference will be given to candidates with 1 or more years of Unit Clerk experience in an acute care setting.
