Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent experience in an Operating Room or acute surgical care unit within the past two years. Recent experience in scheduling surgical procedures in Connect Care programs. A one-year Unit Clerk certificate with practicum components from a recognized post-secondary institution is required. The successful completion of a recognized course in medical terminology is necessary. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are essential. Microsoft Office skills are required. Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Unit Clerk experience in a high acuity setting may also be considered. E-people training and Payroll experience are an asset. Orientation can take up to 6 months fulltime hours. Orientation to include adjacent day surgery/PAC unit.
