Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of 1 year Unit Clerk experience in an acute hospital setting required within the last 2 years. Excellent computer skills required, including the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Strong working knowledge of Connect Care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Must have demonstrated reliability and dependability and accept accountability. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills required. Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision required. Able to recognize and maintain confidential information. Combination of equivalent experience and education will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred. Internal Medicine experience strongly preferred.
