Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working with children with disabilities in a therapeutic setting. Recent (within the last two years) experience and training in acute, inpatient pediatric care. Demonstrated knowledge of child development. Ability to do heavy lifting (greater than 50 pounds) on a daily basis. Demonstrated ability to transfer/lift children of varying ages and sizes. BLS-HCP.
Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of child development including speech & language development. Knowledge and experience in eating, feeding, swallowing assessment and care provision. Knowledge and experience in neurological conditions, rehabilitative service, and transition support.
