Completion of diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program or equivalent training may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:You will play a key role in supporting clients to participate in recreation programming working in collaboration with and under the support of the Occupational Therapist and Recreational Therapist. You will be responsible for social and leisure program planning and implementation, program organization, facilitating leisure education group sessions, monitoring and documentation of treatment plan goals, monitoring inventory, performing general equipment maintenance, supervising and actively participating in recreation activities with clients, participate in various recreational activities as directed by OT/RT.
Preferred Qualifications:Connect Care experience is an asset. Experience in inpatient psychiatry or other addictions and mental health is an asset. Work with young adult or geriatric populations is an asset.
