Completion of Grade 12.
Additional Required Qualifications:Good knowledge of written and oral English. Current CPR certification from heart and stroke. Experience working in a Supportive living setting. Experience with clients that have dementia. Experience in recreation programs for therapeutic recreation. Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients/clients, families, visitors and team members. Well-developed time management skills. Ability to handle the physical demands of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:Health Care Aide certification or equivalent an asset. Class 4 license or must have ability to obtain class 4 driver’s license. Dementia education an asset.
