Completion of Grade 12.
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience performing transfers and assisting with ambulation programs in an adult patient population. CPR BLS for Health Care Providers Level C. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective self-management skills and demonstrated initiative. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a patient-centred, interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Proficient word processing, spreadsheet, and database software skills. Experience ordering supplies and/or using i-procurement. Experience working with Therapy Assistants.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Allied Health at SHC within the last year. 1 year experience in the past 3 years in an adult acute care hospital rehab environment as a Therapy Aide. Demonstrated knowledge of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Language Pathology. Experience teaching or leading therapy groups within the last 2 years. Experience with supporting Speech Language Pathologists with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
