Technology Service Request & Inventory/Procurement Manager
Your Opportunity:
The Technology Client Support Services team is looking for an enthusiastic team member to take the lead and manage our Technology Related Service Request (TRSR) and Inventory/Procurement environment.
Description:
The TRSR Lead is responsible to provide oversight of our hardware/software provisioning and request environment that may occur within Alberta Health Services (AHS) as well as all other inventory/procurement activities that occur within Technology Client Support Services (TCSS). This position works with a high level of autonomy and with all levels and business units of AHS. It is critical you have a clear understanding of the healthcare environment and, the impact that hardware and software requests can have on healthcare outcomes. You must be a skilled problem solver with a proven track record of success. A significant aspect of this position will be optimization of the request and procurement services in the environment and successful ability to address escalations and ambiguity. This may entail managing vendor contracts. Some of the major accountabilities for the role include coordinating the daily activity of staff assigned to track acquisition, requests, location and movement of inventory throughout AHS. Working closely with providers to assure efficient and effective execution of defined processes. Preparing logistics schedules to assure deliveries to production locations. Providing logistics support to multiple concurrent AHS projects and operational initiatives plus continual improvement of logistics processes, documentation and metrics. The incumbent will be responsible for the management of staff reporting to this position, accountable to deliver services within a stated budget, as well as to plan and execute IT hardware logistics provincially. This role will also forecast AHS hardware requirements for short term and long-term strategic planning in conjunction with zone leads. This position will require travel and may be overnight.

Bachelor’s Degree: In Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MIS) and PMP certification is a plus. Minimum 5 years' experience within AHS. IT IL V3 certification, Foundations and Intermediate - please specify. Proficient with use of business office software, ability to build in and manipulate Excel, Pivot Tables, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Ability to perform financial calculations and create and assist with budgets and cost optimization in procurement. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Minimum three years prior experience managing Technology Service Requests, inventory procurement and/or logistics in an organization of significant size and complexity. Experience in leading projects related to IT services or procurement activities. Minimum three years’ experience in a leadership role, responsible for a team, change management, customer escalations, SLAs and vendor relationship.
Additional Required Qualifications:
ERP Systems: Proficiency with procurement tools like Oracle ITSM Tools: Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Analytics: Strong ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
