Completion of an accredited Biomedical Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Two or more years of biomedical equipment work experience. Solid computer skills, healthcare IT knowledge such as networking (including various protocols and associated hardware), application interfaces, antivirus/encryption and experience with computerized maintenance management software and medical diagnostic software. Good knowledge of electronics, strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. Must be able to work independently and as an effective team member. Must be reliable, alert and accurate, and possess a strong work ethic, good judgement and initiative. Well organized, able to efficiently prioritize workflow issues and problems, able to manage changing priorities and demands. Must be meticulous, conscientious, safety conscious, strong commitment to quality and good service. Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal, written, listening) skills. Able to deal effectively with all members of multidisciplinary healthcare and scientific teams, as well as vendor and parts personnel. Must be able to perform the job demands of a biomedical equipment service technologist, including physical demands.
Preferred Qualifications:Proficient with Windows file manager and MS Excel.
