Your Opportunity:

The successful candidate will be joining a small dynamic team at a regional cancer centre offering radiation therapy. The Technical Equipment Officer (TEO) will be the sole and front line service person, and will gain experience through a mix of in person mentoring at a larger tertiary cancer centre, as schedules allow, as well as through vendor training. Once the TEO has satisfied their mentors by working through a checklist of competencies, they will be expected to be transferred to an RTESS position.

Description:

As a Technical Equipment Officer (TEO), you will be responsible for managing a variety of complex medical radiation therapy systems and related quality control equipment. You will perform a wide range of equipment activities such as troubleshooting, installation, repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, safety inspections, upgrades, quality assurance, and risk management activities.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Biomedical Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

BME experience in hospital setting, minimum 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with DI or RT systems.
