Diploma in a health related field. Degree in humanities or health related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of education, skills and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to understand, read, write, and speak fluent English. Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Non-violent crisis intervention (NVCI) training. Supervisory/leadership experience. Experience working with individuals who have Intellectual Disability, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and complex mental health challenges including Concurrent Disorders and Harm Reduction approaches.
Preferred Qualifications:ASIST training. Knowledge of the Persons with Developmental Disabilities system. Knowledge of Recovery Alberta system and resources, including Alberta Hospital Edmonton programs. Experience providing Trauma Informed Care, family centered care, and collaborating with the Office of the Public Guardian/Trustees. Knowledge of psychotropic medications. Experience with AWOL and safety protocols, Behavioral Support Plans and Critical Incident Reports.
