Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Valid BCLS-HCP certification. Experience with pediatric dysphagia including conducting videofluoroscopic swallowing studies. Comfort working with fragile newborn infants (born premature and with complex medical needs). Comfort working with breastfeeding mothers. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, team-building, time management, and interpersonal skills. Exemplary work attendance. Adaptability and flexibility in a hectic work environment. Demonstrated ability to prioritize caseloads, and work both independently and on a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of two years of experience and expertise in the management of pediatric populations. Experience in an acute care setting. Experience conducting fiber optic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing studies. Knowledge of community health care is an asset.
