Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Experience with program development, implementation of educational programs and change management. The successful candidate will work independently in clients’ homes, which could include congregate settings, single family dwellings, condos and/or walk-up apartments. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work in different settings and environments (home environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 25-30 lbs. At the time of interview, you may be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a hands-on assessment. You must demonstrate sufficient typing speed to meet workload demand and navigate through various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet.

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership in Speech-Audiology Canada. Training and experience in the area of dysphagia management. McMaster Case Management training and understanding of the AHS Continuing Care Case Management Competency Framework. Knowledge of the principles of adult learning. Meditech and Connect Care experience.
