Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists is required. Heart and stroke CPR (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. Greater than 6 months experience with dysphagia in an adult outpatient or acute care population is required. Experience completing Videofluoroscopic swallowing studies independently is required. Demonstration of strong clinical reasoning is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated problem-solving, planning and organizational skills are essential. Experience working successfully as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team is required. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment. Knowledge and ability to use computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Experience with Connect Care is preferred. Must have the ability to assist with patient transfers and repositioning. Must be able to tolerate wearing a lead vest for up to 30 minutes.
