Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years' experience in the mental health field required. Direct therapeutic experience working with a mental health population. Active working knowledge of current Mental Health legislation. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills & interviewing techniques. Domestic Violence Group therapy skills. In-depth knowledge of mental health/mental illness. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Minimum 1 year experience working within a community mental health setting. Knowledge of and experience with therapeutic treatment modalities required. Recent experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions in an acute or community mental health setting required. Experience with community partner and stakeholder engagement required. Training in CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with offender/forensic populations preferred. Couples & Family therapy an asset. Knowledge of and experience working with Sexual and Domestic Violence offenders preferred. Knowledge of the Justice systems/Legal systems preferred. Recent experience working with an offender population preferred. Experience in a forensic mental health setting. / Forensic Community Mental Health experience preferred. Working Knowledge of Forensic risk measurement tools an asset.
